SBS Trailers are unveiling electric boat launcher at Seawork
SBS Trailers will bring Tectrax’s C-ROVR electric boat launch system to Seawork 2026, offering remote-controlled launching without a tow vehicle.
Together with Torqeedo, Avon have developed the eJET 450, a 100% electric tender designed to solve the problems of carrying fuel for tenders, changing oil, dealing with reliability issues and costly maintenance.
These tenders are equipped with the most advanced 55kW Deep Blue electric engine from Torqeedo and the latest generation of automotive battery. The eJET achieves 90 minutes of range at 23 knots and a maximum speed of 31 knots thanks to its Hydrojet technology. eJET products also carry connected capabilities allowing them to be maintained and upgraded directly through the Internet.
Dominique Heber-Suffrin, president of Zodiac Nautic Group, said: ‘We’re always looking for what will come next in the boating industry and seek the best partners to make that happen. Torqeedo were the clear choice for the eJET project.’
Dr Christoph Ballin, co-founder and CEO of Torqeedo, added: ‘Avon’s eJET tender marks the arrival of clean and quiet electric mobility in the luxury tender segment.’
