Båtsystem has launched the Foldable Davit Kit, a space-saving stern-mounted solution designed to help boat owners carry a dinghy while reducing the boat’s overall length when the davits are not in use.
The new Davit Kit Foldable DV32 uses hinge joints and quick-release pins, allowing the davit arms to fold flat against the transom. According to Båtsystem, each arm has a lifting capacity of 100kg.
The foldable design is intended to help owners save space in marinas and make berthing and manoeuvring in tighter areas easier. Båtsystem also says the folded arms reduce the risk of accidental impacts when moored and create a cleaner, less cluttered stern.
The system is also designed to make winter storage, transport and onboard stowing more convenient, as the davit arms take up less space when folded.
The Davit Kit Foldable DV32 is available in versions for both angled and straight sterns.
