Bluefin LED launches Pro-Link underwater lighting control

Bluefin LED has launched its Pro-Link underwater lighting range and Mini IYS, or Intelligent Yacht System, providing integrated control of RGBW underwater lighting.

Designed for boat builders and owners, the system is intended to simplify installation, reduce the number of separate helm controls and allow lighting functions to be managed through compatible multifunction displays.

According to Bluefin LED, Pro-Link lights can be controlled through Raymarine Axiom chartplotters, Q Experience screens and Garmin OneHelm. The company said compatibility with additional systems is planned, while remote operation is also available through a smartphone or tablet.

Colour-changing underwater lighting installations can require separate control boxes, multiple switches or interfaces that depend on Wi-Fi connections. Bluefin LED said its Pro-Link and Mini IYS system uses a hard-wired connection to integrate the lighting with the vessel’s existing electronics network.

The Mini IYS Lighting Controller acts as a gateway between the multifunction display and the Bluefin LED lighting system. A single Ethernet connection provides access to colour selection, dimming, strobing, automatic colour cycling and sound-to-light functions.

A Mini IYS 4-Way Hub can control up to four Piranha Pro-Link lights. Bluefin LED said the system can be expanded to operate as many as 16 lights by installing additional hubs.

The Pro-Link range includes the P4CC, P6CC and P24CC RGBW underwater lights.

Bluefin LED has also added the P24TH thru-hull light, which is available in single-colour, dual-colour and Pro-Link RGBW versions. The expanded range is intended to give builders and installers greater flexibility when specifying underwater lighting systems.
