CatanaGroup has launched its first inboard model, the YOT 53, expanding its YOT Power Catamarans range and building on the success of the outboard-powered YOT 36 and YOT 41.
Designed by JNJ Design in collaboration with CatanaGroup’s own team, the YOT 53 aims to combine cruising comfort with performance, with its catamaran design offering around 40% more living space than a comparable monohull, plus greater stability and improved fuel economy. The 53 still fits within the typical Mediterranean berth dimensions.
A standout feature of the YOT 53 is the owner’s forward cabin which spans the full beam, complete with a king-size bed, large en suite, lounge area, and direct access to a private foredeck terrace. This forward cockpit doubles as a serene sunbathing zone, enhanced by ergonomic seating and ocean views.
Inside, the galley is placed at the front of the saloon, freeing up the aft area for open-plan living, enhanced by an up-and-over door that seamlessly connects indoor and outdoor spaces.
The rooftop offers further flexibility, including a helm station, sunbathing area, cocktail table, and grill station, all set beneath a sleek hardtop with panoramic visibility.
The aft cockpit features fold-down bulwarks, a hydraulic platform for tender storage or waterside lounging, and reconfigurable seating for socialising or relaxing. A telescopic crane system simplifies tender launch and retrieval.
The YOT 53 offers two configurations: a three-cabin version prioritising owner luxury, or a four-cabin layout for shared use. Engine options include twin 440HP or 550HP Yanmar inboards, delivering up to 23 knots. An option for lithium batteries supports 48V systems, including silent air-conditioning without a generator.
CatanaGroup’s Aveiro, Portugal facility produces all YOT models, backed by a growing international dealer network.
