YOT53 power catamaran set for Cannes world premiere

YOT Power Catamarans will unveil the new YOT53 at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026, where the 53ft power catamaran is scheduled to make its world premiere. Developed by Catana Group, the YOT53 is the first inboard-powered model in the YOT range and has been designed for extended coastal cruising with family and friends.

YOT says the twin-hull design follows its “Experience the Luxury of Space” philosophy and provides up to 40% more living space than comparable yachts in its category.

Catana Group applies multihull experience to the YOT53

Catana Group has more than 40 years’ experience in catamaran development and operates the Catana, BALI and YOT Power Catamarans brands.

The group operates five production facilities across France, Portugal and Tunisia, employs more than 1,400 people and produces several hundred boats each year for customers in more than 70 countries.

Designed by J&J Design, YOT catamarans are built at Catana Group’s production facility in Aveiro, Portugal.

The YOT53 is intended for owners looking for increased onboard space, contemporary styling and the capabilities required for longer periods of coastal cruising.

YOT53 layout prioritises onboard living space

Forward, the owner’s suite spans the full beam of the yacht and has direct access to a private terrace. YOT says this type of arrangement is more commonly associated with substantially larger yachts.

A U-shaped galley is also positioned forward. This arrangement frees the aft section for entertaining and is intended to improve movement between the yacht’s interior and exterior spaces.

At the stern, a large tilting transom door opens the cockpit to the sea, while opening side platforms create additional terraces at water level.

Above, the multifunctional rooftop incorporates the helm station, dining area, outdoor galley and sun pads, together with 360-degree views. YOT describes it as one of the largest outdoor living areas in the YOT53’s category.

Yanmar power and three or four-cabin layouts

The YOT53 will be available with twin Yanmar 440hp or 550hp engines. YOT states that the boat is designed to cruise at approximately 15 to 18 knots, with fuel efficiency suited to extended cruising.

The catamaran will be offered in three and four-cabin configurations. The company says its twin-hull architecture provides natural stability both under way and at anchor, while storage and provisioning capacity have been designed with longer stays aboard in mind.

The onboard layout is also intended to balance shared social areas with private accommodation for owners and guests.

YOT36 and YOT41 join Cannes display

The YOT53 will be displayed alongside the YOT36 and YOT41 at Cannes. Both existing models will feature new upholstery selections and a number of onboard enhancements.

YOT Power Catamarans is also taking reservations for private tours of the YOT53 and morning sea trials of the YOT36, YOT41 and YOT53 before the show’s daily opening.

Bookings are available through the company’s website.
