Grand G980 cabin RIB to make UK debut at Southampton Boat Show

Grand has confirmed that its new Golden Line G980 will be on Stand P124 at the Southampton Boat Show this month, giving UK visitors a first look at the model ahead of sea trials. Powerboat & RIB are looking forward to testing the craft and bringing you the full review very soon. But, meanwhile, here’s a first look at what to expect from Grand’s newest cabin RIB.

The G980 is a 10m (33ft) RIB, and the newest addition to Grand’s Golden Line range for the 2026 model year. It’s built as a family centre-console RIB cruiser with a cabin below deck, offshore-rated, and available with a single outboard of up to 700hp or a twin-engine installation. Prices start at £199,995 including VAT.

Below deck, fixed side berths combine with a central extension piece, which Grand says can be fitted in a matter of minutes, to form a double berth for two adults, along with an enclosed toilet compartment. The heads and blackwater tank, a freshwater system, fridge-freezer and a gas powered galley are all available as options, for those planning to stay aboard overnight.

Up front, a flip-on, flip-off sundeck sits over three separate storage compartments, adding sunbathing space when it’s fitted. Aft, a U-shaped sofa and folding table combine with the console and central sundeck seating to open up into one large sunbed, and the backrests fold down to keep the transom clear even with the optional twin-outboard installation. An optional hard-top, extendable with front and rear canvas suntops, can shade most of the boat. Very handy in a hot summer!

The G980 will be available soon for sea trials in the UK and customers visiting stand P124 at the Southampton Boat Show this month will be able to arrange a trial with the UK dealer, Wills Marine.
