New Greenline 50 expands the hybrid yacht range

Greenline Yachts has unveiled the new Greenline 50, a 50ft cruising motor yacht that will replace the Greenline 48 after more than a decade in the Slovenian yard’s range.

According to Greenline Yachts, the first hull is already nearing the end of its build process, with launch at Portorož, Slovenia, scheduled for late summer. The new model is designed for the same market segment as the Greenline 48, while offering a larger profile, updated styling and additional features.

I am very proud to be so close to launching the new Greenline 50 . It has always been part of our philosophy to build timeless boats on a robust, proven technical platform, so that each model has a long lifespan. The launch of a new model is therefore a rare occurrence at Greenline Yachts, and the occasion of mixed emotions as we bid farewell to a familiar friend. However, we have done a fantastic job with the Greenline 50, and I am certain that she will still form a key part of our range in a decade’s time.

Three-cabin layout and flexible aft deck

The Greenline 50 carries over several features associated with the brand, including tall bulwarks, a swept-back superstructure, bright interior spaces and hybrid drive options. The accommodation layout offers three cabins, which can be arranged as twins or doubles, with up to three bathrooms.

The main deck is designed for one-level living, with no steps between the cockpit and saloon. Greenline says the saloon benefits from all-round glazing and generous natural light. Owners will also be offered a broader choice of interior materials, finishes, electronics and appliances.

A key feature is the aft deck, which can be specified either as a large storage area for a tender and water toys or as a crew cabin. With the storage option, the aft seating area opens to provide access from the bathing platform. In crew-cabin form, the port-side transom access is filled in to create standing headroom below.

Flybridge and propulsion options

The first Greenline 50 hull is being built as a flybridge model. The flybridge includes a helm station, lounge seating, a table, fridge and wet bar.

Propulsion choices include Greenline’s 6G hybrid drive or diesel engines. Greenline says the yacht’s battery bank and solar panels can support silent hotel operations for extended periods, depending on conditions.
