Honda Marine put V6 and V8 power at the heart of its Cannes display

Honda Marine Europe told PBR it presented its most powerful outboard engines at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival, held from 8 to 13 September, with a dedicated V6 and V8 display on its stand and 15 Honda-powered boats on the water.

The display placed Honda’s flagship BF350 V8 alongside the BF200, BF225 and BF250 V6 outboards, reflecting what Honda Marine describes as its continued focus on the premium and luxury end of the outboard market. Almost the entire Honda Marine line-up was seen afloat during the show, with the majority of the 15 partner boats powered by V6 and V8 engines in single, twin and triple installations.

Cannes 2026 marked the widest on-water line-up yet for Honda’s enhanced high-power models, which debuted at the show in 2025 and are now available through Honda Marine Europe’s dealer network.

The engines are offered in Honda Marine’s signature Aquamarine Silver, Grand Prix White and Sporty White colours, with either Honda drive-by-wire or mechanical control systems. Honda says the range shares the same design as the award-winning BF350 V8, noted for its fit and finish, with high-rigidity parts built to withstand harsh conditions.

The outboards also feature two Honda exclusives: Boosted Low Speed Torque (BLAST), which advances the ignition curve to improve holeshot performance, and Variable Valve Timing and Electronic Control (VTEC), which provides smooth power delivery throughout the engine’s operating range while increasing both power and fuel efficiency.

Honda Marine’s boatbuilder partners exhibited 15 Honda-powered boats afloat at Port Canto and the Vieux Port:

• BWA: Flyer 45 with triple BF350 V8; Flyer 36 with twin BF250; GTO 308 with BF350 V8
• Grand: G980 with twin BF350 V8
• 4XC Design: HA 8.5 with BF250
• Fanale Marine: Libecciu with twin BF350 V8; Altore Sol with BF350 V8; Altore Cabine with BF350 V8
• Ranieri International: Cayman 37 with twin BF350 V8
• Northstar: Orion 10 with twin BF250; Orion 8 with BF350 V8
• Highfield: ADV 9 with twin BF250; ADV 7 with BF250
• Oro Marine: G31 with twin BF200
• Scanner: 1100 with twin BF350 V8

Two further Grand models completed the display on Honda Marine’s stand: the G680 with BF150 and the G750 with BF250.

Honda Marine also showed a new rigging system on its stand, compatible across its four-cylinder, V6 and V8 outboard ranges, which the company says simplifies installation and repowering for boatbuilders and dealers.
