Laser Tools marks 50 years with new stainless steel ratchet set

Laser Tools has launched a new professional stainless steel ratchet set, designed for technicians who value durable hand tools built for regular workshop use. Being made of stainless steel these are well suited to marine use in PBR’s view.

The four-piece set, part number 9365, forms part of the Laser Tools 50th anniversary range and combines stainless steel construction, fine-tooth mechanisms and compact storage in an engineered EVA foam tray.

The set includes 1/4″, 3/8″ and 1/2″ square-drive ratchets, along with a compact 1/4″ hex-drive bit ratchet. Each tool is manufactured from stainless steel to provide strong resistance to rust, corrosion and workshop contamination.

Laser Tools has designed the kit for daily practicality, with the supplied EVA foam tray measuring 280 x 131 x 30mm, making it suitable for toolbox storage and organisation.

The ratchets use fine-tooth mechanisms to improve operation in confined spaces where the available swing arc is limited. The 1/4″ drive ratchet and 1/4″ hex bit ratchet both use 60-tooth mechanisms, while the larger 3/8″ and 1/2″ drive ratchets use 72-tooth mechanisms for more precise fastener control.

The compact 1/4″ hex-drive ratchet measures 115.25mm and includes a thumb disc to help technicians spin fasteners quickly during installation or removal. The 1/4″ drive ratchet also measures 115.25mm and offers a maximum torque of 50.8Nm.

For heavier work, the 3/8″ drive ratchet measures 200mm and has a maximum torque of 203Nm, while the 1/2″ drive ratchet measures 240mm and offers a maximum torque of 507.6Nm.
