Pogo Structures develops Loxo 30 Open for January 2027 launch

French boatbuilder Pogo Structures has expanded its Loxo powerboat range with the Loxo 30 Open, following the Loxo 32 and Loxo 40 introduced in summer 2025.

The new 9-metre open model is currently in its final engineering phase, with tooling and mould production under way. The first boat is scheduled to launch in January 2027.

Pogo Structures state its engineering team developed the hull for operation between 15 and 20 knots. It uses vacuum-infused composite sandwich construction comprising fibreglass, polyester and a foam core.

The lightweight structure and hybrid hull require relatively little power to plane and could reduce fuel consumption by up to 40% compared with comparable vessels. Pogo Structures also told PBR the platform is suitable for electric or hybrid propulsion systems.

The open deck and modular architecture can be configured for passenger transport, diving, harbour operations, professional fishing, sailing clubs and leisure use. Maritime surveillance is also listed by the company among the intended applications.

Pogo Structures claim the fine bow entries, buoyant stern and small keel are intended to support comfort, course-keeping and stability. Watertight bulkheads and buoyancy volumes are incorporated into the design.

The boat can carry 12 passengers and a skipper, while its 2.55-metre beam makes it trailerable.

The first Loxo 30 Open is due to be operated by Bleu Evasion for day-trip passenger transport in the Calanques National Park near Marseille and therefore will provide an opportunity to demonstrate the model under working conditions.
