First model in the Sport Cruiser 35 series

Nimbus has revealed the Sport Tender 35, the first model in its new Sport Cruiser 35 series and the first of three versions based on a shared hull. The range will comprise the Sport Tender, Sport Weekender and Sport Coupé.

The company says the Sport Tender 35 sets the future direction for its Sport Cruiser range and has been developed around its “Crafted for Living” approach. Nimbus describes the model as a sport cruiser for day cruising and flexible onboard living.

Flexible deck spaces for day cruising

The Sport Tender 35 has two main deck areas. The foredeck is designed for boarding, loading gear and rope handling, while also converting into two sun lounge areas. Nimbus says up to eight people can sit forward, with lowered gunwales shaped as additional seating. Lockers extend towards the bow, and a fixed bow ladder is included.

Aft, a U-shaped sofa seats six and can convert into sofa and sunbed arrangements. Fold-out hull-side balconies bring the deck closer to the water at anchor. Storage is provided under the sofa, forward of the engines and in side lockers. A live bait tank is optional.

The split galley preserves movement through the centre and includes cold water and a CR65L refrigerator as standard, with an optional 70-litre refrigerator under the sofa.

Below deck, the boat offers accommodation for four adults and one child, including a double berth forward, two berths in the mid-cabin and a child’s sofa berth. The head includes a shower, toilet and washbasin.

Twin-stepped hull and Mercury outboards

The Sport Tender 35 uses a newly developed air-lubricated twin-stepped hull with vacuum-infused Divinycell sandwich construction. Principal dimensions include an overall length of 10.80m, beam of 3.20m and light craft displacement of 4,524kg.

Outboard options include a standard Mercury Verado V10 350hp, a Mercury V10 425hp and twin Mercury V8 300hp engines. Nimbus says the boat cruises between 30 and 36 knots and can reach around 45 knots with twin V8 engines. Verified figures are still to follow.

CE classification is Category C for 10 persons and Category B for six persons. Nimbus states that all figures are preliminary and subject to change without notice.
