Teledyne Raymarine launches the CAM400 marine IP camera

Teledyne Raymarine, part of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE: TDY), has introduced the CAM400, a compact marine IP camera designed to turn compatible Raymarine Axiom chartplotters into an onboard video monitoring system. The full-HD day/night camera is intended to let boaters see more of their vessel without leaving the helm. Raymarine told PBR it is suited to powerboats, commercial craft and responder boats alike.

What can the Raymarine CAM400 monitor on board?

The CAM400 gives skippers and crew a view of areas that can be difficult to keep an eye on from the helm, including the cockpit, aft deck, swim platform, side decks, blind spots and utility spaces. It also provides a rear-facing view for reversing, and can be used to keep watch over crew, passengers and activity around the boat.

Raymarine is aiming the camera at both recreational and professional mariners. Its compact design, wide-angle lens and day-and-night performance make it suitable for a wide range of monitoring tasks, whether the boat is underway, docking or at anchor.

CAM400 represents our ongoing commitment to giving boaters practical tools that make time on the water safer, easier and more enjoyable. It reflects our focus on delivering technology that is both powerful and practical, while continuing to create more connected, capable experiences for mariners around the world.

How does the CAM400 work with ClearCruise augmented reality?

Paired with the Raymarine AR200 sensor, the CAM400 supports ClearCruise augmented reality. The system combines live camera video with navigation overlays on a compatible display, including AIS targets and waypoints, adding visual context that improves situational awareness. The CAM400 and AR200 are also sold together in bundled packages.

Raymarine says the CAM400 draws on its long experience in marine electronics and navigation technology. Designed specifically for the marine environment, the camera integrates with Axiom chartplotters and the wider Raymarine ecosystem, giving owners a video option for a variety of onboard applications.
