New models and colours mark Yamaha's biggest WaveRunner update for 2027

Yamaha Motor Europe has unveiled its 2027 WaveRunner line-up, headlined by the arrival of the all-new WaveBlaster. Joining the range, the CrossWave makes its European debut, while new colours across the FX, VX, GP, JetBlaster and SuperJet models add fresh styling options throughout. Announced in Amsterdam, the 2027 range spans premium cruisers, performance-focused and freestyle models, according to Yamaha.

WaveBlaster returns as a lightweight, solo-focused WaveRunner

The all-new WaveBlaster is built around solo riding, with lightweight handling, responsive performance and what Yamaha describes as 90s-inspired character. It is powered by a TR-1 High Output 1,049cc three-cylinder engine, delivering acceleration and handling designed to encourage tighter turns and closer contact with the water. The WaveBlaster can be ridden seated or standing, combining modern performance with a more raw, rider-focused feel. It is finished in a midnight blue and black colour scheme, a design the company says blends old-school character with contemporary performance.

CrossWave brings Yamaha's largest WaveRunner to European riders

Having already launched in the US, the CrossWave arrives in Europe for 2027, adding a four-seat, adventure-focused model to the range. Described by Yamaha as its largest WaveRunner to date, it offers seating for four passengers, a full walk-around bow and deck, and 310 litres of storage. Power comes from a 1.9-litre High Output marine engine, which pairs performance with everyday comfort and practicality. The CrossWave also features a seven-inch colour touchscreen display, integrated Yamaha Music audio and a T-Track accessory system, features which is designed to help riders make the most of every journey.

Fresh colourways update the JetBlaster, SuperJet, FX, VX and GP models

Alongside the two new models, Yamaha is refreshing much of its existing WaveRunner range with new colour options for 2027. The JetBlaster PRO is now finished in black and mint, while the JetBlaster DLX arrives in cyan. The GP SVHO takes on an all-black finish, and both the FX Cruiser SVHO and FX Cruiser HO switch to blue steel with pearl accents; the FX HO is now offered in white. In the VX family, the VX Limited HO is finished in lagoon blue, the VX DeLuxe in nightshade, and the VX-EU in white with black accents. The SuperJet completes the update in a new midnight blue.

How is the 2027 WaveRunner range organised?

As in previous years, Yamaha groups its WaveRunners into three segments to help riders find the right model. The Recreation segment covers the WaveBlaster and JetBlaster, aimed at playful, everyday riding. Cruising brings together the CrossWave, FX and VX families for owners prioritising comfort and versatility over longer trips. Sport comprises the GP range and the SuperJet, aimed at riders who want sharper handling and race-inspired performance.
