British full-custom superyacht tender builder, Falcon Tenders, is delighted to announce a raft of new deliveries, builds and contract signings for its beautiful, bespoke handcrafted tenders. These include two revolutionary Damen tenders, with the self-righting SOLAS 660 tender due to make its world debut at the Monaco Yacht Show later this month. The July delivery of the 9.75m limousine tender Project KD, commissioned by the owner of 64m Sanlorenzo KD. And the in-build 9m limousine tender for 72m Giorgio Armani-designed Admiral Project Metamorphosis.

MONACO YACHT SHOW 2024

Exhibiting for the third year in a row at the 2024 Monaco Yacht Show, Falcon is happy to reveal two full-custom tenders — currently under construction for Damen’s SX6001 Explorer Yacht — that are set to revolutionise the yachting industry. The first tender, making its world launch at Monaco, is a self-righting SOLAS 660 tender, a design that has never been built before for the superyacht sector.

The unique tender boasts unrivalled internal volume and guest accommodation for use as a high end shuttle and for watersports activities. It doubles as a practical crew launch suitable for baggage, rubbish and provisioning duties, whilst maintaining upmost style and luxury.

The SOLAS 660 will be closely followed by the second tender, the SX10 Open limousine. Another fully original concept in open tenders, it is designed specifically for Damen with revolutionary features and details. More information for both tenders will be available on the Falcon stand (Stand QA26).

Visitors to the Falcon Tenders stand will also witness the debut of an exciting new tender concept — the Falcon Shuttle — in partnership with GreenJoy Studio, and the unveiling of a 1:10 scale model of a full custom 10m limousine tender currently in build for a high profile yacht based in the UAE. Featuring all new lines and styling, complex compound curved glass and a luxurious interior that complements the yacht’s interior features and details, delivery is scheduled for 2025. A 1:10 scale model of the award-winning Gladius Gullwing Limousine tender, with operational gullwing doors and an avant-garde interior will also be on display at Monaco. Designed by Sturge & Toth, it is the winner of a prestigious International Yacht & Aviation Award in 2024.

PROJECT KD DELIVERED

First revealed on the Falcon Tenders stand at 2023 Monaco Yacht Show, the 9.75m all-new limousine tender Project KD, which is project managed by Superyacht Tenders and Toys, successfully delivered in July. It’s commissioned by the owner of 64m Sanlorenzo KD, one of three 64Steel models and the largest delivered by the Italian yard to date.

The brief called for a full custom limousine — the largest seen on a yacht of this size to date — with mandated design cues that complement the style of the mothership. These include custom metallic silver painted accents, Fibr8 exterior laser lighting to create “statement deck jewellery”, and book matched macassar ebony interior veneers.

The yacht’s tender stowage is extremely low and tight with a strict weight restriction of 4,900kg, which meant Project KD had to seamlessly integrate with the twin beam cranes and restricted height and space, all while remaining sympathetic to the lines of the yacht. The tender’s sleek profile is enhanced with a pair of stunning mirror-polished stainless steel custom aft cleats. Other key features include a Seakeeper stabilisation system, bow thruster and full joystick control. As for performance, a Yanmar combustion engine package delivers 500hp via twin Yanmar duo-prop stern drives for a blistering 38-knot top speed and cruising speeds of around 18-28 knots.

“This tender performs in a truly outstanding way for its size,” says Mark Pascoe, founder of Falcon Tenders. “The hull has variable deadrise, leading to smoother wave entry and improved performance or economy whilst at planing speeds. The ride is extremely smooth, quiet and dry, and the addition of the Seakeeper stabilisation system removes low speed roll for unparalleled guest comfort.”

PROJECT ARMANI LIMOUSINE TENDER — IN BUILD

Currently in build and set for a 2025 delivery is a stunning new 9m limousine tender for the 72m Giorgio Armani-designed Admiral superyacht Project Metamorphosis. Built by The Italian Sea Group under its Admiral brand, the yacht’s original 2024 delivery year has been pushed back to April 2025 to account for “additional upgrades” by the new owner, who stepped into the project in May.

The 2,000GT yacht enjoys interior and exterior design by Giorgio Armani, an ice-class hull and a 6,000 nautical mile range. Falcon’s unique limousine tender, project managed by Superyacht Tenders and Toys, will feature an exceptional interior and exterior design to match.
