MarineTrac gains Suzuki GB endorsement for marine security tracking

MarineTrac, a specialist security tracking provider for outboard engines, personal watercraft and rigid inflatables, has secured endorsement from Suzuki GB PLC Marine Division for use across its outboard engine range in the UK.

The system has been developed by a team with a strong background in automotive security, adapting proven tracking technology for marine use. Over the past 15 years, the wider group’s systems have contributed to the recovery of more than £17 million worth of machinery. MarineTrac applies this experience to boating, where security solutions are often more limited.

Technology designed for marine theft prevention

MarineTrac combines GPS, GPRS and RF (Radio Frequency) technologies to address a wide range of theft scenarios. It is suitable for installation across multiple marine applications, from high-value outboards such as Suzuki’s DF350 to smaller engines that can be more easily targeted.

Users can monitor their vessel or engine through a dedicated app or desktop login, allowing them to manage alerts, check battery status and log engine hours. If unauthorised movement is detected, MarineTrac’s Secure Operating Centre contacts the owner in real time via text, email and phone. In theft situations, RF tracking can be activated to locate assets to within a one-metre radius.

We are thrilled to gain endorsement from a brand as significant in the marine market as Suzuki. With a vast range of products, it’s great to show that MarineTrac is effective at all levels within the outboard market.

MarineTrac has been developed specifically for such applications, taking our long term experience in automotive and making a system that fits the needs and wants of the marine customer, with unique functions already implemented and more features to come too.
