Two Decades of Design, Performance and Passion
Milan, 29 May 2025 – Sacs Tecnorib and Pirelli are celebrating 20 years of collaboration, a partnership that has brought over 1,000 distinctive Maxi-RIBs to seas across the globe. Since their first meeting in 2005, the two companies have successfully fused Italian design, offshore performance and the sporty identity of Pirelli into a fleet of craft now seen as icons of the luxury RIB segment.
With a dealer network spanning 19 countries and owners in over 30 nations, the collaboration has driven more than €20 million in annual turnover in recent years. These boats are as likely to be found cruising the bays of Australia as they are the Italian coast.
To honour this two-decade journey, a special event was held at Villa Bicocca degli Arcimboldi, within Pirelli’s Milan headquarters. The exhibition highlighted milestone models and celebrated shared values of innovation, glamour and international spirit.
Marco Maria Tronchetti Provera, SVP of Pirelli Design, hailed the partnership as “a virtuous example of excellence” that continues to set new standards. Gianni De Bonis, founder of Tecnorib, emphasised their original mission to reinterpret Pirelli’s DNA for the marine world. Sacs Tecnorib President Matteo Magni noted the continued focus on sustainability and global growth.
An Iconic Range That Redefined the Market
The journey began with the launch of the PIRELLI P ZERO™ 770, introducing taut lines and the distinctive tyre tread on the tubes. From the award-winning PIRELLI 1400 in 2007 to the best-selling 1100 Cabin in 2012, each model brought innovation and style.
The PIRELLI 1900, revealed in Cannes in 2017, set the benchmark for luxury offshore performance. This was followed by the PIRELLI 42, a bold new walkaround design that launched the SPEEDBOATS line, now including models up to the flagship PIRELLI 50.
The brand also diversified into jet tenders, offering compact, stylish solutions for yacht owners under the PIRELLI TENDERS banner.
