Sacs Tecnorib Mansory Pirelli 42 Special Edition

With striking style, the Mansory Tecnorib takes the RIB concept to another level.

Sacs Tecnorib, the official licensee of Pirelli inflatable boats, have launched the Mansory Pirelli 42 Special Edition. Powered by triple 500hp Mercury Verado V10s, this RIB is the result of collaboration with the renowned German top-marque car tuner Mansory. Just launched at the Dubai International Boat Show in March, not too surprisingly, this eye-catching boat will have a limited production run.

Deck space is generous and well enclosed.

The original Pirelli 42, created by the Swedish Mannerfelt Design Team, was intended for use as a day cruiser or superyacht tender. In this revisited special edition, the Mansory features start with triple Mercury 500Rs. There is a signature hyper-technological look created by Mansory, with attention to detail being a crucial feature – notably its engines with custom graphics, coded with the colour of the upholstery. It is enhanced with many carbon parts in the deck area, T-top, and even the throttles and joystick. The spoiler on the hard top is also made of carbon fibre, matching the integrated Hella spotlights. The speakers are customised to match the boat, and numerous other elements, such as the external table, cabin door and internal finishes, all fit with the carbon scheme. The Mansory logos on the sides of the boat and custom cushions complete the extensive conversion, giving the Special Edition a typical and unmistakable Mansory style. The upholstery is finished in waterproof leather, which the customer can customise in terms of colour and quilt.

The relatively thin 500hp Verados mean a triple fitment takes little transom space.

The design uses a bulwark inside of the sponsons. This does increase displacement slightly, but the subsequent aesthetics are in keeping with the luxury-focused design, and it will be a bonus in big head seas. The practicality and safety of bulwark-enclosed side decks, with long inset grab handles and drop-flush cleats, are a bonus on any boat, let alone one with 1500hp on the transom. The helm is suitably fitted with a triple seating arrangement, each seat enjoying a folding bolster base, and an angled footboard provides everyone at the helm with solid footing. Consequently, you can easily elevate your view standing with your rear safely ensconced in one of the bolsters. The stunning carbon dash accommodates twin 16in Garmin MFDs, providing a glass bridge set-up with full system control.

Mansory styling dominates the boat

Behind this big luxury helm lies a very serious party wet bar. A sink and a griddle are par for the course, but beneath sit no fewer than three fridges and an ice maker. A six-person dinette lies in its lee, and aft of this is a triple sunbed, which can be expanded over the dinette with the table in its lowest position – achieved at the press of a button. If you need it, extra sunshade can be created by a bimini, which connects to the T-top, and decking, synthetic or otherwise, is available in different colour schemes. The cabin houses the typical double bed over a drop-down table, but it is large, so comfortable overnighting is realistic, and headroom at the foot of the bed seems reasonable. The heads compartment is the usual toilet/sink/shower wet room affair, but it is certainly large enough to be genuinely usable over a weekend.
