Beneteau Gran Turismo 50 makes in-water debut

The Beneteau Gran Turismo 50 has made its international in-water debut at the 2026 Salone Nautico Venezia, held from 27 to 31 May at the Arsenale di Venezia.

To mark the debut, Beneteau released an official lifestyle image collection showing the new flagship between the canals of Venice and the waters of Corsica. According to the company, the images were created to present the yacht in two Mediterranean destinations closely associated with maritime culture and cruising.

Venice provided the setting for the model’s first public appearance afloat, with Beneteau describing the location as a contrast between the yacht’s modern styling and the historic character of the city. The company said the display highlighted the Gran Turismo 50’s use of space, connection with the water and role as the largest model in the renewed Gran Turismo line.

Gran Turismo 50 joins Beneteau’s Dream Debut experience

The launch formed part of Beneteau’s “Dream Debut” experience, designed to introduce customers, partners and visitors to the brand’s motor yacht range.

Alongside the Gran Turismo 50, Beneteau also displayed the Gran Turismo 40 and the Grand Trawler 63. The company said the line-up was intended to show the breadth of its motor yachting portfolio and its approach to life on the water.

The official image collection extends the presentation beyond the Venice show, with the Gran Turismo 50 shown navigating the city’s waterways and positioned against one of the world’s best-known maritime backdrops.

Flagship of the renewed Gran Turismo range

As the flagship of the renewed Gran Turismo range, the Beneteau Gran Turismo 50 follows the Gran Turismo 35 and Gran Turismo 40, which were first introduced at the Cannes Yachting Festival in 2025.

Beneteau said the new model has been designed around a fresh approach to layout, styling and ergonomics. The company positions the yacht as a versatile platform intended to retain the cruising character of the Gran Turismo concept.

Built around Beneteau’s “Sport-Luxe” philosophy, the Gran Turismo 50 combines generous living spaces with a refined design approach. The company said the yacht’s circulation, proportions and connection between interior and exterior spaces are intended to create a welcoming and sophisticated onboard environment.

Beneteau also said the model draws on the Japanese design principles of Kanso and Yūgen, with clean lines, balanced volumes and selected materials forming part of the interior and exterior design. Ambient and exterior lighting are also used to support what the company describes as an understated atmosphere on board.

At the helm, Beneteau said the Gran Turismo 50 has been engineered to reflect the feel of a sports car, with visibility, adaptable layouts and user-friendly controls intended to support ease of use.

Beneteau and Alpine create limited edition

The Gran Turismo 50 also introduces a further collaboration between Beneteau and Alpine.

Beneteau was founded in 1884 and is today a global leader in pleasure boating. Alpine, founded in 1955, is described by the company as a French brand associated with premium sports car engineering and distinctive design.

Beneteau has unveiled the Gran Turismo 50 Alpine Limited Edition, developed with Alpine’s design team. The special edition is distinguished by an Abyss Blue hull, navy and black interior finishes, and a bespoke sport steering wheel.

Beneteau said the limited edition brings together French craftsmanship, performance-inspired design and contemporary onboard living.

The company describes the Gran Turismo 50 as a complete lifestyle experience, focused on cruising, shared moments on board and a close connection with the sea.
