Fairline unveils Targa 58 GTO at Southampton Boat Show

Fairline will launch the Targa 58 GTO at the Southampton Boat Show, the newest expression of Fairline’s Targa styling. Presented under the tagline “Open-Air Freedom meets Grand Touring Elegance,” the yacht is designed to blur the boundary between inside and out. According to Fairline, the Targa 58 GTO offers an immersive connection to the sea at a level until now reserved for much larger yachts, drawing on design elements more commonly found on bigger craft, including a drop-down patio door that unites the cockpit and interior into a single social space.

The patio door sits at the centre of the Targa 58 GTO’s design. Its main panel glides to starboard, while the port-side window lowers electrically to link the galley and bar unit worktops into one continuous surface. The starboard door and window descend into the engine bay, opening the cockpit and interior into a single connected area. Port and starboard fold-out balconies, fitted with hammocks and director’s chairs, extend the space further and bring guests closer to the water, while extensive glazing keeps the horizon in view from every angle. Combined with a sunpad for four and dining space for eight guests, the balconies increase the usable cockpit area from 19.2 sq m to 27.2 sq m. A cut-through seat provides access to the starboard balcony, which comes with integrated balcony accessories, and an electric sunshade completes the arrangement.

Beneath the cockpit, Fairline has reworked the traditional garage into what it describes as a versatile leisure space, complemented by an extending Beach Club platform for relaxing at sea. The garage stores a Williams 325 or 345 tender, two director’s chairs and a Seabob, and is fitted with a Williams Tender Launch System, a shower beneath the garage door, integrated lighting, transom speakers with a head unit, and a fridge.

Inside, an opening sunroof and overhead skylights bring natural light into the saloon, which Fairline has finished with fluted timbers, spray-finished surfaces, premium fabrics and marble accents. An integrated television rises from a concealed position and rotates toward the cockpit for guests relaxing on deck.

The helm is equipped with triple 16in Garmin displays, an integrated joystick and Grid 20 controller positioned between the seats, and a connected pilot station. The dashboard is finished in dark-stained gloss oak timber with stainless steel air vents and wrapped surrounds featuring contrast stitching, while the pilot seat has a fold-down step and electric height adjustment.
