Suzuki unveiled up-to-7-year outboard warranty at Southampton

Suzuki GB revealed a new Up-To-7-Year Warranty scheme for its outboard motors at the 2026 Southampton International Boat Show. The scheme pairs a 3-year factory warranty with up to 4 further years of service-activated cover for leisure customers, while Suzuki also announced that its standard manufacturer warranty for commercial users is being extended from 2 to 3 years.

For customers who purchase a Suzuki outboard motor for leisure use from 18 September 2026, the scheme provides 3 years of factory warranty from the date of purchase, plus the opportunity to add an additional 4 years of service-activated warranty, for up to 7 years of warranty cover in total. For commercial customers, Suzuki is extending its standard manufacturer warranty from 2 years to 3 years.

To qualify for the additional service-activated cover on a leisure outboard, the engine must be maintained through qualifying scheduled services carried out by an Authorised Suzuki Marine Dealer, in line with the servicing schedule specified in the outboard’s Owner’s Manual. According to Suzuki, each qualifying service will activate 12 months of warranty cover, subject to eligibility, up to a maximum of 7 years from the date of first registration.

Denis Houston, Suzuki GB’s Director of Aftersales and ATV & Marine, said: “Reliability and long-term ownership have always been important parts of Suzuki’s products, and our new Up-To-7-Year Warranty gives customers even greater reassurance when choosing and owning a Suzuki outboard.”

The reveal at Southampton formed part of the first phase of Suzuki’s introduction of the scheme to the UK marine market, with the company stating that the full launch date will be announced shortly.
