New TurboJet MX range aims to widen access to Williams ownership

Williams Jet Tenders has launched the TurboJet MX range, a new addition to its lineup designed to bring premium jet tender ownership within reach of a wider range of yacht owners. The range comprises the TurboJet 280MX (RRP £17,299) and TurboJet 320MX (RRP £19,995), which is said to combine the quality, reliability and performance associated with Williams Jet Tenders with a more competitive price point.

What are the specifications of the TurboJet 280MX and 320MX?

The TurboJet 280MX measures 2.79 metres in length overall and is fitted with a BRP Rotax Ace 903 60hp engine. It can carry three adults and one child, with a top speed of 42mph. The TurboJet 320MX measures 3.19 metres in length, can carry four adults and one child, and features an upgraded 90hp engine that reaches a top speed of 45mph.

Why has Williams launched a more accessible tender range now?

According to Williams, the launch comes as the global yacht market faces challenging conditions, particularly in the 40 to 70ft sector, where inflationary pressures have contributed to slower sales of new boats in recent years. The company says more than 5,000 Williams tenders are already in operation within this size category worldwide, and it has developed the TurboJet MX range as an option for existing owners looking to return to the brand.

TurboJet MX represents an important evolution for Williams. We’ve listened carefully to the market and recognised an opportunity to deliver a tender that maintains the quality, performance and ownership experience customers expect from Williams, while opening the door to a broader audience. For many owners, you would have to go back to 2017 to find a new Williams tender at this price point.

Despite its competitive pricing, Williams tells us that the TurboJet MX has been engineered to their own standards, introducing a number of enhancements aimed at improving both performance and the ownership experience.

What features does the TurboJet MX range include?

According to it’s makers, the TurboJet MX range offers:

  • Enhanced performance, stability and handling following extensive testing
  • An updated upholstery design
  • A choice of white or grey tube options
  • A retail price approximately 20% lower than comparable jet tenders on the market
  • A weight approximately 30% lighter than competing jet tenders
  • Construction and testing to the same quality and performance standards as every Williams tender

MiniJet 280 production to end as TurboJet MX takes over

The launch marks the next step in the evolution of Williams’ entry-level offering. Production of the existing MiniJet 280 will end in September, with yacht fitment transitioning to the new TurboJet MX platform. Williams expects the new range to appeal to both existing owners seeking a replacement tender and to new customers entering the jet tender market for the first time.
