Windy Boats marked the international debut of its SR40 model at the 2025 Palma International Boat Show. The launch took place on the opening day of the event, drawing a crowd of yachting media, industry professionals and Windy enthusiasts.
The SR40 is the third model in the company’s SR Sport Boat line and continues Windy’s collaboration with renowned naval architect Espen Øino and interior design firm Design Unlimited. It also represents the sixth new model introduced by the Norwegian builder in the past three years.
The unveiling was led by Windy owner Jon-Trygve Hegnar, who cut the ribbon during a morning ceremony. He was joined by Windy CEO Trevor Fenlon, Øino, and Mark Tucker of Design Unlimited, each delivering speeches to mark the occasion.
Trevor Fenlon commented: “The SR40 is the third model to be unveiled from Windy’s SR Sport Boat line range and continues the successful collaboration with these award-winning design companies. It also marks the sixth new model to be introduced in just the past three years.”
The SR40 features a streamlined superstructure with an enclosable helm, designed to offer protection from the elements while maintaining an open boating experience. Below deck, the interior provides a convertible saloon with double berth, a galley unit, and an optional aft cabin.
Engine options include both inboard and outboard configurations, with a reported top speed exceeding 45 knots, depending on specification. Designed for both day boating and weekend cruising, the SR40 combines performance with Scandinavian styling and practical onboard living.
