Jeanneau Merry Fisher 1295 Fly Review: A 40ft Flybridge with Sports-Cruiser DNA
Unequivocally a flybridge, undeniably a driver's boat. Greg Copp tests the new flybridge version of the MF1295.
The advanced CB2000 AIS transponder unit transforms the Icom IC-M506EURO and IC-M605EURO to VHF/DSC radios with Class B AIS transponders. The CB2000 also provides a simple solution for those customers who already own an IC-M506EURO or IC-M605EURO but wish to upgrade. The CB2000 connects to the NMEA 2000 network of either radio, and can also be interfaced to the majority of new AIS-compatible GPS chartplotters. It includes an integral NMEA 2000 drop cable with a male mini-connector. It consumes less than 2W of power and is self-powered from the NMEA 2000 network.
The CB2000 requires a dedicated VHF antenna or a suitable VHF/AIS antenna splitter and an NMEA 2000 GPS. There is a USB interface for programming and for PC/MAC-based navigation.
