Nordkapp introduces the Airborne 5.4 compact performance RIB
Nordkapp has revealed the Airborne 5.4, a compact new RIB designed to deliver serious performance in a practical 5.4m package.
Powerboat designer Adam Younger and crew Amy Rickards took first place in the recent 93.70nm offshore powerboat race from Cowes to Poole and back, with the team’s new Northstar RIB’s UK powerboat featuring two SHOCK-WBV C Series suspension mechanisms manufactured by Sea Sure Ltd.
‘The SHOCK-WBV suspension seats worked really well and I’m sure I would be feeling a lot worse today if it was back to the old days of being in floor-mountedseats!’commented Younger.
SHOCK-WBV also took second spot on the podium with Lee Ornsby’s Top Banana, crewed by Ross MacGregor. ‘The performance, quality and product support are second to none. We simply couldn’t do it without them,’ said Ornsby.
All SHOCK-WBV Ltd products are manufactured in Southampton, UK, by Sea Sure Ltd. The three mechanical suspension units in the range all use shock absorbers manufactured by FoxFactory to reduce shock and vibration caused by repeated wave impacts.
