Honda Marine and Highfield Boats return to Southampton with a joint stand

Honda Marine UK and Highfield Boats will share a joint stand once again at this year’s Southampton International Boat Show, running from 18 to 27 September. The Bracknell-based Honda Marine UK and Highfield are based on stands P40 and P48, continuing a long-running partnership to supply matched boat-engine packages, which the companies say meets rising demand from owners for fully integrated, turnkey outboard set-ups.

What is the Highfield ADV9 making its UK debut at the show?

One of the highlights of this year’s event will be the official UK debut of the Highfield ADV9, a 9.2-metre cabin crossover built for adventure, versatility and everyday comfort. For the show, it is fitted with twin Honda BF250 outboards, with the package rated for a top speed of 50 knots and a cruising range of up to 250 nautical miles. The ADV9 has been nominated for European Powerboat of the Year 2027 and named a finalist in the Best RIBs category of the Best of Boats Award 2026. Honda said the twin-outboard set-up is matched to deliver fuel efficiency, reliability and quiet running, with a design that complements the ADV9’s RIB-style hull.

What other Highfield boats are on display at Southampton?

Alongside the ADV9, visitors can see a range of other Highfield RIBs and tenders on the stand. These include the ADV7, winner of the Open Motorboat award at the Dutch Boat of the Year Awards 2026; the Sport 700; and the Patrol 540 Coaster, which Highfield positions as an affordable starter boat for families. To mark its 15th anniversary this year, Highfield is offering a free stand-up paddleboard with every Coaster sold during the show.

What Honda outboard technology will be on the stand?

Honda Marine will display its full outboard range, spanning 2.3 to 350 hp, including its updated V6 and four-cylinder models and the award-winning flagship BF350 V8. The range features digital instruments and displays, ergonomic control boxes and Honda’s Intelligent Shift and Throttle drive-by-wire controls, alongside technology Honda says improves fuel efficiency (ECOmo), holeshot performance (Boosted Low Speed Torque), power delivery (Variable Valve Timing and Electronic Control) and throttle response and starting (Programmed Fuel Injection).

The joint stand is open on all four sides beneath three stretched fabric sails, which shelter a central area. Half of the space is given over to Highfield-Honda packages, with the rest showing boats from Honda’s boatbuilder partners and Honwave inflatables fitted with Honda outboards. New for this year, a dedicated Tender Zone will showcase Honda’s Honwave and Highfield tender ranges, highlighting compact, practical solutions for boat owners.
