Galeon expands its FLY range with the 420 FLY

Galeon has announced the new 420 FLY, the latest addition to its FLY range. Developed from the existing Galeon 400 FLY, the new model introduces revised exterior styling and changes intended to improve onboard comfort while retaining dimensions suited to a range of marinas and cruising destinations.

The 420 FLY features an updated profile, enlarged side windows and extensive glazing across the superstructure. Galeon says the increased glass area brings more natural light into the yacht and creates a visual connection with its larger models. Accommodation and living areas are arranged across three levels.

Folding balconies expand the Galeon 420 FLY cockpit

The aft cockpit features an L-shaped sofa with a folding table and a wet bar, with the layout designed to provide straightforward movement between the exterior and interior spaces. Sun pads are positioned at the bow.

One of the principal features is the yacht’s pair of folding balconies. Galeon states that, with both balconies extended, the 420 FLY reaches a width of 5.90 metres, increasing the available deck area. Combined with the enlarged bathing platform, the arrangement creates an extended waterside area around the aft cockpit.

Main deck and two en-suite cabins

Inside, the main deck combines the saloon, dining area, galley and lower helm. A C-shaped sofa and folding table are positioned to starboard, while an additional sofa is fitted to port. The adjoining galley allows food and drinks to be prepared within the main social area.

The lower helm is located forward to starboard and has a double helm seat. Galeon says the position provides good visibility together with access to the yacht’s main navigation and control systems.

Below deck, the 420 FLY has two cabins, each with its own en-suite bathroom. The full-beam owner’s cabin is positioned amidships and includes a king-size bed and storage, while increased headroom is intended to make access and movement around the cabin easier. A second cabin is located in the bow for guests or family members.

Flybridge adds dining and entertaining space

The flybridge provides a further seating and dining area with a folding table, together with a grill and wet bar. The upper helm station is positioned centrally, with Galeon stating that the arrangement provides clear all-round visibility.

The combination gives owners another outdoor living area away from the main cockpit and saloon.

Sterndrive and shaft propulsion options

The Galeon 420 FLY will be offered with two propulsion configurationsDPI sterndrive and conventional shaft drive. According to Galeon, the choice is intended to allow owners to select a propulsion system according to cruising area, water depth, handling requirements and personal preference.

Maximum engine power is listed by Galeon as 2 x 353 kW.
