Biocide-free silicone antifouling paint tops European study
Chalmers-led research found biocide-free silicone antifouling paint performed best against hull fouling in Swedish, Danish and French coastal waters.
Twisted Marine acquires Network Yacht Brokers Dartmouth, expanding its boat brokerage and sales division along the south coast of England.
The acquisition enhances Twisted’s capabilities in brokerage, boat sales, and aftercare, aligning with its strategy to create a connected network of marine services. The Dartmouth site, based at Noss on Dart Marina, will also provide a regional outlet for Scorpion and Northstar boat sales.
Director Jake Cronk described the move as a “natural progression,” citing Dartmouth’s maritime heritage and location as key benefits. He noted that Network Yacht Brokers, the longest-standing brokerage at Noss on Dart Marina, was a strategic choice to strengthen Twisted’s position in the region.
The expansion coincides with Noss Marina’s £100 million redevelopment, which includes a 232-berth marina, dry stack boat storage, and a hotel and waterside plaza. Twisted aims to be the marina’s one-stop-shop, offering boat sales, brokerage, servicing, and aftercare.
The Dartmouth facility will be supported by Twisted’s Salcombe division, allowing customers access to engineering services as an OEM and main dealer for Volvo Penta, Yanmar, Honda, and Mercury.
This latest acquisition adds to Twisted’s growing presence in the marine sector, offering consistent service to clients navigating the south coast. Existing customers of Network Yacht Brokers Dartmouth will now benefit from Twisted’s expanded resources and marine expertise.
